upgrade to newer version

Dear Community!

Should I upgrade my Macbook Pro 2011 from High Sierra to a newer version, such as Catalina or Big Sur? Does anyone have experience with this? I'm wondering if the computer will be unusably slow or if there will be compatibility issues. The computer has been upgraded to ssd and 8 GByte RAM.

Best regards,

Gabor

MacBook Pro 2011 models do not have strong enough graphics, and are not supported by Apple for running later than High Sierra.
