iPhone 12 waterproof

If the iPhone 12 is waterproof, can I immerse it in the pool or it's just can be splashed by water? I know it's not recommendable.

No iPhone is waterproof. If you immerse it there is a good chance you will kill your phone dead, and water damage is not covered by the warranty.
