X missing on the last web page in Safari I was always able to close down the last webpage I was browsing with an 'x' at the top left of the open page. Now the 'x' is missing and although I can go back to my start page, it doesn't feel as though I have left the webpage. I see the tabs and can close all of them except the last page. I hope this makes sense!

How to remove little tab at left end of tab bar? On the left end of the tab bar in Safari, is a little tab, which has nothing to do with anything I'm interested in, but doesn't have the x to close it. Is there a way to elliminate it? Or change it to something I might use?

Try using command - W.
