Pairing watch with phone

I bought a new iPhone today and although managed to restore all back ups etc, I am unable to pair my phone with my watch. When I go to the Watch app on my iPhone to try and reconnect it, the screen just stays on the “confirm on Apple Watch” and nothing appears in my Watch at all! Thanks for any help!

You have to remove the watch from your old phone first;

On a computer, go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID.

Go to Find Iphone.

Select All Devices, then click your Apple Watch.

Click Erase Apple Watch.

Select Next until the device is erased.

Click the remove button next to your Apple Watch.
