iTunes and lost music files

Why can't I access my music files on iCloud from my other devices connected to iCloud. I've always been able to do this until I joined your Apple Music then when I stopped my files disappeared. This is not a way to keep customers. I am not happy and will not buy anything from apple again since you decided that I have to pay both for iCloud storage and for Apple Music if I want to play my own music files on other devices. I thought I could synch them but not any more. What a rip off

Steven - That is not correct. To do cloud syncing, yes you need a subscription. But without a subscription you can still sync your iTunes/Music library from your computer to your devices. See steps in here:
