How to combine several Apple Pages documents into one Pages document?

How does one combine several different Apple Pages (10.3.9) documents into one multi-page document and still stay within Pages?

Thank you.

Open a new Pages document of the same type as you will be placing into the combined document.

Save the new (and empty) document to assign it a filename and a location in which to be saved.

  • Open the first document that is to be placed in the combined document.
  • Click on the first word of this document, then press command-A to select ALL of the content of this document. Press command to Copy the selection to the Clipboard.
  • Click in the document, but outside any of the selected content to deselect the content of this document.
  • Go to the window of the New document.
  • If you do not see the insertion point on the empty page, click on the page to put it there.
  • Press command-V to paste the contents of the clipboard into this document.
  • With the insertion point at the end of the document, insert a Page Break to create a new page.
  • Place the insertion point on this new, empty page.

Open the next document to be added, and repeat the steps abov

AlthoughPages will continually save new versions of the document as it changes, you may want to force such a save after adding each of the individual docs to the combined one.

Barry
