English dictionary: "No entires found"

Somehow, my Dictionary application can't find anything. No matter the word, the English dictionary always returns with "no entries found."

The English thesaurus, French dictionary, and French-English dictionary all work. But, the regular-old English dictionary gives me nothing.

Hello TaylorSmith,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We understand that Dictionary doesn't produce expected results, and we're here for you.

First, we suggest following steps 1-3 in the support article below. Quitting, then reopening the app, restarting your Mac, then checking for updates might help.

If an app on your Mac stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

If the issue persists, we recommend isolating the issue further to your settings or to a more wide-spread issue. To do this, test the issue while booted into safe mode or in another user account. Here's how:

Start up your Mac in safe mode

Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.
