Hi, Question - Is there a possible way to use a time machine to back up my external hard drives? I've looked on the backup exclusion list and I'm unable to remove my external hard drive from the list therefore it can not be backed up.
Currently, I have 2 External Drives connected to my mac. One for Time Machine and the other for documents and as secondary storage. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I it’s formatted so that i’m able to switch between mac and pc, however, i’m getting the same hard drive just for Mac storage so i’ll try formatting it as HFS or APFS before storing anything
That's the problem. Time Machine cannot interact with drives formatted as ExFat or NTFS: https://www.macworld.com/article/233242/time-machine-no-fat-or-exfat-drives-only-hfs-and-apfs.html
The top one is a backup drive, so isn’t backed up.
How is the other formatted. I believe Time Machine can only back up Mac formatted drives (HFS+ or APFS)
