Shut down on big Sur

My MacBook Pro shuts down a few times a day without obvious reason. This is a new problem and was not occurring before Big Sur and seems to have gotten worse recently - which coincides with the latest Big Sur update.

Just now it shut down for the second time in about a half hour with 66% battery power showing BUT it also shut down earlier today while running on AC and fully charged.

You have a great mac - I have used one exactly like it, and though I now have a 2019 16" MBP, the 2014 is still going strong, used by the wife.

Two things stand out immediately from the report:

Your battery is failing

You have fallen for the **** that is "cleanmymac".

NEVER installed anything like "cleaners", "optimizers" or "antivirus".

They offer zero benefit, degrade perfornance and cause all sorts of issues. And among them this one is notorious for corrupting systems left and right.

Start by uninstalling this - you have to follow their instructions for that.
