Recover text messages
i accidentally deleted 3 years of text messages including many photos that were not saved to ‘photos’. Can they be recovered??

Yes from here Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support so long as you have a backup and you didn't sync message to icloud.
