Is it possible to transfer SOME UTI not A.L of my documents from a late 2010 MacBook Pro to a new MacBook Air?

Well, if you use Setup or Migration Assistant, it'll be all; however, you could just plug in your external backup and manually pick out and move some files. However, if this is a Time Machine backup, I do not know if that works since I do not use TM.
