Keep your Mac notebook within acceptable operating temperatures

Your MacBook Pro can run all day every day at 60 degrees C without the slightest of problems.

When the temperature inside the chassis is measured to be higher than that, the fans may increase in speed. The cooling system is designed to fail-safe at MAXIMUM fan speed in case of problems. Fan speeds are tightly controlled by the System Management Controller, which adjusts those fan speeds downward from maximum multiple times a second.

If the temperature were to approach 100 degrees C, the processor may do an uncontrolled power-down to save itself from heat damage.
