back up external hard drive

Macbook pro 2015 backed up using time machine to external hard drive, how do i view files on hard drive

You need either Time Machine app or a Mac to understand the file structure if you open the file package itself.

In Time Machine, well, it is what it is.

In Finder you can go to the drive, locate the .sparsebundle file, right click and select Show Package Content and then you'll find tons of files, but it's not well organized for us to understand. Files and folders have different names and are not organized as the way you're used to see in your Mac.
