Having issues after dropping mac book ~1foot in height. Whenever I shut the laptop screen it restarts when I open it. The touchbar is completely black too.

Likely some hardware damages resulted from the fall; and AASP or Apple repair service

would need to inspect and test the Mac; there may be a fee for this. And estimates, of

the repair costs could then be given.

• Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac - Apple Support

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202731

Not sure if an Apple Diagnostic test would work, or help given whatever damages exist.

Instructions for test, pose no cures; while this could further validate extent of a problem.

• Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

• Apple Repair and Repair Status Check - Apple Support

You could try an authorized Apple repair service, or an Apple store/genius.

Those could be revealed options within link above & show directions to go.
