"Other" is taking up 2/3 of storage, leaving me with only 2+ MB.

I recently updated to Mac OS Big Sur (OS 11.2.3). Now I get notifications that storage is down to 2.8 MB. I followed the recommendations, i.e. deleting large files. But the "other" category increased and now takes up 156 MB, 2/3 of storage.

How to free up storage space on your Mac

What is “Other” storage on a Mac, and how can I clean it out?

See used and available storage space on your Mac

Aside - there is a Big Sur Update 11.4. Would be best to create at least 15 GB of Empty Space before attempting or it will fail every time.
