How can I get my MacBook to AUTOMATICALLY connect to the personal iPhone hotspot ? It does not work!

The iPad can do it. Why not the Mac ?

It is so annoying to search for the iPhone personal Hotspot every single time you wake the MacBook from sleep and then manually connect to it. This must be a software-bug, and I hope it get's fixed in the next update, so 'it just works"

My M1 Macbook can automatically reconnect to any other wifi. Only the iPhone personal hotspot is not working this way (even though I enabled the checkbox for automatic connection to this network, which took several tries, by the way, until MacOS accepted it.)

Yes, Bluetooth is on and Personal hotspot is discoverable, yes the devices are all using the same AppleID

Yes, I followed these three guides without any solution:

  1. Use Instant Hotspot to connect to your Personal Hotspot without entering a password - Apple Support
  2. Troubleshoot connecting your Mac to the internet
  3. If your Mac doesn't connect to the Internet over Wi-Fi
