How to manage multiple iOS devices?

Between my family members, we have multiple iOS devices (iPads, iPhones). We use Family Sharing - so everyone has their own AppleID, and they are "connected" to the same family.


I'm looking for an easy way to manage device settings, configurations and installation of some apps on all of the devices.

Right now, if I need to set up wifi, change screen time limits or install a new app on the devices, I need to physically go to each device and make the changes. There has to be an easier way.


Any suggestions or ideas?

Outside of Educational and Corporate environments, where central management via an MDM (Mobile Device Management) system is commonplace, there are few (if any) platforms for management of independently owned (domestic) devices.


If you have a Mac, you might consider using Apple’s Configurator 2 software. This software, however, is only really intended to pre-configure a standard setup profile; it is not intended to manage devices “in life”.
