Migration to a 2020 Macbook Air

I've been a (lazy) Mac user for many, many years. Every time I bought a new desktop or laptop I just ported everything over to the next computer. I really don't want to do that this time. Is there a best way to avoid junking up my new laptop?

Good question. I have been in your shoes and did the same upgrade after upgrade (change of Macs). I, however, this year, setup the new MacBook Air (2020) completely from scratch and manually. It takes longer to set up the Mac manually including downloading and installing all the apps.

The best way to setup manually is to download and install the apps clean. Install all the settings manually.
