I need a refund on an Apple TV subscription that I cancelled.

Why did my credit card get charged $5.38 for Apply TV? I cancelled that subscription.

First confirm you have canceled any subscription automatic renewal (if you simply delete an app this does not cancel subscriptions):

Review the information in this support article by clicking on the link to learn "How to cancel a subscription from Apple." - https://support.apple.com/HT202039

• "If you signed up for a free or discounted trial subscription and you don't want to renew it, cancel it at least 24 hours before the trial ends."

• An existing subscription will normally continue until the end of its term and may then renew automatically. Stopping automatic renewal is effectively canceling it. "If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, then the subscription is already canceled and won't renew." The "Expires" date means the current subscription will just run until then.

• Read the link to see what to do about subscriptions that do not appear in your list.

• Canceling a subscription does not automatically start a refund. If you want to do that:

Click on this link to "Report A Problem" and ask for a refund. --> https://reportaproblem.apple.com/?s=6

"If the subscription that you want to cancel is not listed", click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT212052

If you still can't find a subscription, contact Apple Support using the link at the end of the support article.

If Report A Problem does not work for a subscription refund you may have to make a special request. Click here --> https://getsupport.apple.com/?caller=kbase&PGF=PGF51002&category_id=SC0060&symptom_id=23330

This is a user forum, no one here can do anything regarding your account. You would have to go into your own account to verify subscriptions have been cancelled, be aware that cancellations also have to be done at least 24 hours prior to renewal to avoid billing. Once there has been billing you need to request a refund.

Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple - Apple Support

After you request a refund you'll receive a status update by email within 48 hours. If your request is granted, the money is returned to the payment method you used. The time it takes for the money to appear on your account or statement depends on the payment method:

- Store credit (e.g., Apple ID balance): 48 hours

- Mobile phone billing (payment through your phone service carrier): Up to 60 days

- Other payment methods (e.g., credit/debit card): Up to 30 days for it to appear on a statement.

For apps and media you can also sign into https://reportaproblem.apple.com to check if the status of your item is "Refunded".

If the cancellation hadn't been done at least 24 hours prior to the renewal then that could be the issue. Once there is billing then the request for refund has to be put in. If you just put in that request then it needs to be processed, the above article explains how to check the current status. If you want to speak with someone then you can contact Apple support (which can also be initiated from the bottom of said article).
