can i retrieve the voicemail greeting that i previously had?
I recently switched cellphone providers but kept the iphone that I had. I was unaware that the voicemail greeting would not transfer. Is there a way to get that back?

Voicemail is a carrier feature. You can contact your previous carrier and see if there's anything they can do, though I suspect there is not.
