My contacts won’t backup to iCloud
Why won’t my contacts update to iCloud my photos and calendar update when backing up but not my contacts, the button is switched to on on my phone to update my contacts What’s wrong?

Try Settings/Your Name/iCloud and slide off Contacts syncing. Wait a few minutes and then slide syncing on. Allow time for syncing to occur.
Last resort - have you tried signing out of iCloud, restarting the device, and then signing back in?
