i’m trying to change my apple id email, when when i enter my email it tells me “this email address is not available” even though it’s not used for any other apple id, is there any way to fix this and add my new email to my apple id?

If you get that message it means that email is used as an Apple ID email, or even as a recovery email on another Apple ID.
Make sure its not associated with any other Apple ID:
About your Apple ID email addresses – Apple Support (UK)
You can check if the email is an apple ID by entering the apple ID in https://iforgot.apple.com/password/verify/appleid
If you get options to reset password its an apple ID.
If it says " This Apple ID is not valid or not supported." It's not an Apple ID
If you still can't figure out what is going on you can try and:
Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
