An Epson WF-3820 is in fact mentioned in About AirPrint - Apple Support.

Use AirPrint to print from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

The printer and the iPad must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If the configuration is correct, but it is not working, you may want to try this: Power off the router, the printer, the iPad, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the iPad. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.

That model of printer is not listed here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201311

This means the printer does not have Airprint available. Epson may offer an app that allows you to print.

No problem. Happens to me, too. If in doubt, I usually try to do another search for the number only.
