my sister bought me a gift card I redeemed it but to buy stuff I have to verify her card I tried but it said I can’t.

IS the credit from the redeemed gift card enough to cover the cost of the item that you wish to buy and any local sales taxes added in the final steps of the sale? If not, the system will ask for an additional payment method, such as a credit card, to cover the shortfall.
