Why is my new MacBook Air shutting down randomly, and how can it be fixed?

Well the first step is to see if there is anything in the machine that is being overtaxed for any reason.

Etrecheck can isolate software reasons. Users here can usually help you isolate any software issue.

Apple hardware diagnostics can isolate hardware issues.


If the machine is under a year old and has not had AppleCare purchase, hardware issues usually can be addressed with AppleCare. If it has AppleCare purchased, then you can address them for a longer period of time.
