If I buy Iphone12 Pro Max in US, Can I buy applecare plan online or remotely without taking phone to store and make a payment in $$$?

Here, In India, it is roughly $360

Problem 1: If you buy the phone in the US you cannot buy AppleCare+ for it in India at any price.

Problem 2: If you want to buy AppleCare+ you must do so when you buy the phone, or, if you want to buy it later it must be activated on a US carrier and working so it can be tested remotely, and you must buy it within 60 days of the original purchase.

Problem 3: If you buy AppleCare+ in the US it will only provide coverage in the US.

Yes, and the other "bad news" is that if you have to get this iPhone serviced, you will need to ship it back to the U.S. at your cost. You should have been told this when you making this purchase and let the Apple sales rep know that you were planning on using this phone in India.

To clarify the above, if you need to send it to the US for service, you can NOT ship it to Apple. You will have to send it to an actual person that you know in the US and have them take it in for service. Apple will not accept an international shipment, nor will they ship in back to you from the US.

The iPhone does not have an international warranty. Purchasing Apple Care will not change that fact.
