Yes. Restore from the backup you made prior to installing the update. Have no backup of such? If so, then know to always create on prior to installing an update.

I was not syncing with the cloud before today's update. And I don't know how to turn it off. Mainly my computer has more hard drive space than my icloud subscription so I've never synced before. Now on my computer, there is literally no access to the local hard drive.

I am no longer able to save files to my hard drive. Everything is on the icloud. Why? I purchased this computer and its hard drive space but now cannot access it?

My guess is that you are syncing to the cloud. Is that how you set it up?
