My Apple ID is shared. My text messages go to both phones. If I change the Apple ID on the other device, will it change all of them?

Text messages sent by iMessage vs. SMS will go to any device using the Apple ID as a destination. If you change the Apple ID on the other device then it won't receive messages destined for your Apple ID.
