Verification Failed, An unknown error has occurred

When updating Apple ID setting, it asks me for my password. When I enter my password I get the message box "Verification Failed, An unknown error has occurred". I have changed my password twice and still get the same message. I have also tried using a different WIFI connection still no luck. Help!!!!
