Numbers - Pop Up Menu formula and process

Hi,

First let me give you some context.

I have created a family budget to track all my spending.

I download all the raw data from the bank statements and populate a spreadsheet.

Once populated with the data, I then am I'm trying to link my pop up menu creation (i.e. category) selections and their respected monetary values (below) to calculate in another cell. Keep in mind I'm trying to ensure that whatever pop up menu selection is selected it will change on the cell I want it to calculate towards.

Hope this makes sense. Tried Apple Support on the phone and they we unable to help me.

Thanks in advanced.

Cheers,

Josh

SUMIF and SUMIFS are your friends here. A simple example:

In B2, filled or copied down: =SUMIF(Table 1::D,A2,Table 1::C)

If you haven't done so already I highly recommend you take a look at the Personal Budget template at File > New in your menu.
