iMovie not showing picture from any clip in the timeline.
My movie or any clip in the timeline is not showing when I try to play. Makes editing somewhat tricky if not impossible. iMac27, Big Sur, iMovie 10.2.5. Thanks.

Try deleting preferences. To delete preferences open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and select to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects. Deleting preferences is a safe procedure that will not cause data loss or disruption to your project.
Also, you can try creating a new project and see if iMovie works correctly in the new project.
