Older Ipad settings reflects 12.5.4 }Your software is up to date” when obviously newer updates exist. How do I get most recent update?
Due to not having the most recent update I cannot download routine apps getting message indicating I need 14.1 or later.

The message you get means that your iPad model cannot support iOS versions beyond 12.5.4, because of hardware (CPU/RAM) incompatibility.
