I am tired of all these other Imac owners suggesting ways to update my imac. I need an expert to send me step to step instructions on how to update my imac.
below is what I have and I can not seem to find a way to update it????????
CAN ANYONE HELP?
I hardly use my imac it's in great shape and I hate to see it sitting in my locker in a box.

That iMac can run up to macOS High Sierra 10.13.
What you need to do is go to and read > https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211683 using Safari.
Next go to > macOS High Sierra 10.13 and double click on it.
That should take you to the Mac App Store where you can download the macOS High Sierra 10.13 installer.
Then if the installer does not automatically open, go to your Application Folder and open Install macOS High Sierra.
From there it is easy to follow the on screen direction and install the upgrade.
FWIW no expert here, just a fellow user with lots of practice.
