i have an iphone 6s currently updated to ver 12.5.4

is this update current to protect from hacking?

You probably have an iPhone 6 or an iPhone 6 Plus, not an iPhone 6s. iOS 12 is not affected by the current vulnerability.

If your device is running iOS 12.5.4, it can not be an iPhone 6S.

A device running iOS 12.5.4 is not affected by the recent security issue.
