Have you updated your phone to iOS 14.7.1 (or 12.5.4 on an iPhone 6 or 5S), which fixes the vulnerability?

And why do you think that?

Apple patched the vulnerability reported in the Forbes article with 14.7.1. Keeping devices safe is an arms race (or whack-a-mole), which Apple (and other manufacturers) does a pretty good job of keeping up with. And to help stay ahead of vulnerabilities Apple pays bounties for reports of them. So the probability of an unknown vulnerability is almost zero.

If you have not jailbroken your iPhone for all practical purposes it cannot be hacked, not even (or especially) over Wi-Fi.

Then your phone has not been hacked.
