Fake Battery Drained Icon

I had the battery on my MacBook Pro replaced. Now if I don’t use the machine overnight and it’s not plugged into power I get the symbol showing the battery is dead even though it’s not. I cannot turn the machine on until I plug it in. As soon as I plug the Mac back into power it turns on, shows the correct battery life (e.g 70%) and then runs fine even when not

connected to power. It just needs to be connected to power to boot up when it’s been asleep for a long period of time. What can I do to fix this?

Hi,

If your MacBook Pro has Intel Processor, resetting SMC could solve the issue.

If it doesn't help, try to run Apple Diagnostics if it's a hardware related issue.
