MSteams Share screen BigSur

I'm having trouble with MSTeams since getting a new MacBook Air, enabling upgrade to BigSur. Specifically, I can't seem to share my screen.

The usual up-arrow button launches a new window which used to offer different sharing options, such as for specific windows or apps. Now the window displays the turning wheel (as often when the system is doing something in the background); but the window closes after 5 secs or so.

I imagine there's a new level of security somewhere. Advice welcomed

For an application to be able to share your screen, it must be given permission in System Preferences->Security & Privacy->Privacy->Screen Recording. If it is not there, authenticate by clicking the padlock and entering your password, then click + and add it.
