How do I clear the “other” data folder on my iPad? It’s taking up over 80 GB of space which is over half of my iPad’s total storage.

No, you have misunderstood. The link says that you must update to at least 13.6 or Later in order for this method to work. If you are running version 12, you will need to update to at least 13.6. Your version is already 14.6, so you do not need to update to 13.6 because you are already running 14.6 which is LATER than 13.6.
Thanks for that link, but the iPad is running 14.6, which is a later OS than what the article suggests.
That link clearly states that you need to update to 13.6 or LATER. Version 14.6 is later than 13.6.
