This is most probably how you shared your password:

https://support.apple.com/nl-nl/HT209368#:~:text=Zorg%20dat%20uw%20apparaat%20(het,en%20vervolgens%20op%20'Gereed'.

And if you cannot switch it off there, K. Shaffer's suggestions below (manually remove WiFi networks) should help. If not, I would like more details. iOS version, etc.

There are ideas online, while I've never had this problem; rarely connect

'stray wi-fi' where security may be compromised. Some info such as this

may or not be helpful. (Where you may find wi-fi disconnect, un-checkbox

if you find one, that says: "[ ] Automatically Join This Network.")

Also a more regional Apple Community in your region of Europe may be

better to assist in your quest for these answer. ~ We're mostly Volunteers.

[This is a 'peer-to-peer' user discussions forum; & use Search engine helps.]

And English is primarily the language here by design. Few Dutch speakers

visit to participate here, unless they use english. Saves effort & time, too.

Sorry! This hasn't resolved your settings issue; probably very basic. You may

also see where instructions to use deeper tech tools; can locate root cause.

My older Mac's OS hasn't the advanced features; fewer new problems too.

Look at the issue from both device and Mac. You could solve part of issue

while causing one for later use of Wi-Fi. ~ Cautions in those articles, posted

earlier (+ searches that found them) had reason to suggest careful choices.

re: les cornwell..

Thank you for your 'bi-lingual' efforts; as you're local to that region!

(While I'm half world away, with much different climates for sure..)

There's a fair bit of effort to make bi-lingual replies here, too.

Nothing automatic about choosing what to translate. Or try

to copy-paste, from two or three different official site pages;

so their original native languages post correctly, as well.

Given most who participate here, do so as 'volunteers'

is sometimes lost on infrequent visitors to regional ASC.

[Things change between languages in different Apple Support

pages, when copy-paste is used. Accents w/ local phenomena.]

Some I've done in chinese; spanish, etc; however english,

german etc, are almost natural. Often I understand, if I can

hear the language & use visual clues, the Speaker provides.

Take care!🌞

Hi Shaffer,
