MacBook Air M1 Desktop Background

Hi everyone.

My MacBook Air M1 is not allowing me to put up any of the images I have in my photos as a Desktop background image.

I'm allowed to have only those pre-installed.

Funny thing, if I go to my photos and and choose an image to be my desktop bg, it shows up, but the moment I hit "System Preferences", poof... disappears..

Anyone else ?

Works fine on my MacBook Pro.

Try doing it in safe mode:
