I have an Iphone 7. the earphones and the charger has the same port. I can not play sound via earphones though I am able to charge my phone. I tried another earphones and I still have the same result.

Could the sound level reaching the headphones be too low ?
You might want to try adjusting the audio levels ?

After you plug any headphones into your iOS device,
sound plays from your device's speakers instead of the headphones ?
If your iPhone 7 won't recognize your headphones,
seems you would need to get help from Apple.

Wondering if Apple's Lightning dock accessory, or something similar,
would help you charge and use headphones at the same time:
Seems it is compatible with iPhone 7.

I tried to use an adapter (charger and earphone outlets) … ilI am still facing the same problem: I can charge the phone but I can’t play audio through earphones though I tried different earphones :)
