my MacBook Pro won't update and its causes some apps on my devise to act up. how can I fix this?

Incompatibility being the Culprit:

If this cannot be upgraded to a newer macOS version, then that is because it does not have the hardware requirements to do so. Proceeding from here depends on the MacBook's model (the Year).

What is the Year?

  1. Go toApple Menu
  2. Select: About this Mac...
  3. View: the Year


What the Current macOS:

So, see if your Mac is compatible with the following:
