why cant i see the iphone icon?

make sure that your IOS is up to date first and then go into the settings>General>scroll to bottom Reset>reset home screen layout and then go look at your home screen it will be back but gotta be sure youre up to date first or it wont work

I like everything about my customized iPhone Home Screen layout except that the phone icon disappeared from the bar. Will the reset Home Screen unlo all my groupings?
