I have apple iMac about 3 months ago and has worked perfectly. Now my cursor is frozen in the upper left corner and won’t move. Mouse is well charged and hsve turned it off multiple times. Same with my desk top but to no avail. I’m stuck. Any though?

I have a 3 month old iMac desk top whose cursor is frozen in top left corner. Mouse is charged. turned it off/on multiple times as well as the computer but it’s still frozen. Thoughts?

iMac 24″, macOS 11.6

Try restarting the Mac by holding down the power button for about 10 seconds and then restart. If the problem persists please follow the steps below:


The following will require any USB keyboard and mouse. If you don’t have them, borrow or buy them, they are inexpensive!


1.     Connect the USB keyboard and mouse to the computer.


2.     Open System Preferences – Bluetooth


3.    Un-pair the wireless keyboard and mouse.


4.     Turn off Bluetooth


5.     Restart the computer in Safe Mode per the directions in https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262


6.     Restart the computer normally.


7.   Open System Preferences – Bluetooth


8.   Turn on Bluetooth


9.     Re-Pair the wireless keyboard and mouse.


10.  Unplug the USB keyboard and mouse and begin testing the wireless devices again.
