paying for subscription plus content??

I subscribed to apple tv. It appears that I must pay for each show or movie over and above the subscription unlike netflix. PLease confirm.

The subscription is for Apple TV+ (note the "+") All Apple TV+ content is included in the subscription but that is the only free content. Other content in Apple TV is not included in the Apple TV+ subscription.
