F19 to launch calculator
How do I program an unused function keys (F13-F19) on my magic keyboard to launch an app?

Thank you for the response. I searched prior to asking the question and read the article linked prior to asking the question. I'm not a programmer, so the linked article brings up more questions than it answers. The OS appears to be missing what should be a simple functionality for the average user...or it's really well hidden.
