Hi I wanted to free up my iCloud storage so I have a folder on my Mac which is using storage and I only want it on my Mac. So can I turn off the iCloud just on that folder??

When you are in Finder, "Go" is one of the menu items at the top of the screen. You can open two finder windows with one of them being iCloud Drive and the other being your home folder.

Also, your Home folder is also in the Finder sidebar (or can be added to it if not already there). It has a house-shaped icon and your login name. You can drag the folder from iCloud Drive to the sidebar home folder.
