apple music gapless playback or lack thereof

What? Suddenly today my iphone has no gapless playback! Gapless playback is a must in classical music, guys. I have been on AM since the beginning of time because it has offered gapless playback forever! Looking about in these communities I see that this began for some people in January but I guess it was either fixed or people gave up because Apple was not responding. Will this be fixed? Is this a feature of IOS 15.0.2? I "updated" my iphone to 15.0.2 last Thursday. Until today this had never been a thing for me.

When the M1s came out I began to think about going back to Mac, but maybe not...

Restarting my phone didn't fix this for me. Was there more to this answer? It looks truncated.

I have albums I imported from CD. On the Mac they play gapless perfectly. On my iPhone with the same albums there are gaps.

It worked. BTW just want to report that an Apple specialist I contacted via chat after I left the message on the Apple community board told me "... gapless playback is no longer available. " I asked when do they expect to have a fix? "We don't have a date" was the reply. Needless to say my jaw dropped to the floor. Your timely reply saved me from doing something I would have regretted.
