I belong to Book Bub. Yesterday I tried to purchase a book that was offered at $1.99 by them. When I went to buy the Apple version, at the Apple site, the book was $13.99. Can you explain this?

In normal circumstances I’d agree. Book bub negotiates these deals. They are consistent across all ebook platforms. It should have been $1.99. I have ordered many books this way, iBooks, kobo. This time was different.
You need to contact Book Bub about your problem.

Different stores charge different prices and offer different promotions. Like anywhere.
