“Cannot verify server identity”

Recently I have been getting this pop up message on my phone. When I click on more details, it says “not trusted” and further details reference Nokia. Is someone hacking my phone? It happens with reference to different apps. I’m not sure how to prevent this. Help!

You connected to a public Wi-Fi network that required web sign-in (that’s what “captive portal” means). The page wasn’t deleted when you disconnected from the network. The easiest way to solve this is to clear history and website data; the alternative is to review the open pages in Safari, and close the “captive portal” page.

ADDENDUM: This has nothing to do with the apps. It is simply that the network path to the AOL server is invalid because you are no longer connected to the Nokia portal.
